ColdFusion QuickDocs Google Chrome Extension

I'm a big fan of CFQuickDocs.com and I use it often for referring the attributes and parameters of the ColdFusion tags and functions. CFQuickDocs is already having plug-ins for Firefox and IE but not for the Google Chrome browser. So the Idea came yesterday to me that Instead of going to the CFQuickDocs site every time to refer something on ColdFusion why don't I create a Chrome Extension for it? So to make it simple I created the ColdFusion QuickDocs Google Chrome extension.

ColdFusion QuickDocs Google Chrome Extension

Now the search can be performed easily by hitting the search button after entering the search text and selecting the CF version on the ColdFusion QuickDocs extension. Hope this extension will be helpful to you as well and let me know if found the extension useful? I'd really appreciate your feedback, suggestion or any issues on the ColdFusion QuickDocs Extension.

Thanks to Jake Munson for the great CFQuickDocs.com site.

There is also a search plugin for Firefox
http://www.google.co.in/search?sourceid=chrome&...

You can assign a search keyword for quick access.

@PradeepVizz

As I mentioned in the post we already have plug-ins for Firefox and IE. What you meant by Search keyword for quick access pradeep?

@Akbar,

I mean using Keywords to search.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Search_Bar
In the above page you would find the image containing a edit keyword button.

You assign a keyword to a search engine, say 'G' for Google, then you go to the address bar and type "G ColdFusion", it will return Google search results of ColdFusion.

Hope i am being clear :)

@Pradeep

I’m totally understand that keyword to a search on Google will bring results. But this extension is specifically created for to search CFQuickDocs.com for CFTags and CFFunctions. Hope you understand the intension of creating this Extension :-)

Akbar,

There is a quick way of using the CFQuickdocs search plug-in Firefox. All you need to do is to assign a "quick access" key to that plug-in.

Consider that quick access key is assigned as "CFQ". In the address bar type CFQ <tag Name. Function>, the browser will show results from cfquickdocs site for the tag / function specified.

This quick access key is not a feature of CFQuickDocs plugin, but a feature of Firefox.

Great extension! Is there a way to change the default to CF8 on the select box?

@Scott,

I have created in that way to default the current ColdFusion version :-)
