Blog is now powered by Railo CFML

I moved my blog from CF 8 and SQL Server to Railo and MySQL as backend three months before. The migration went very smooth and till date I didn't have any issues. Since I'm using blogCFC for my blog I didn't do much on the coding front rather the changes happened on the SQL Server to MySQL conversion only. I would like to thank Charlie Arehart for helping and Jordon & Mark from Viviotech for providing the hosting for my site.

ColdFusion 10: Resetting ColdFusion Administrator Password

In ColdFusion 10 if you forget the ColdFusion Administrator password, open up the Command prompt in windows or Terminal in Linux/Mac and Run the passwordreset.bat (passwordreset.sh for Linux/Mac) file which can be found under the cfusion/bin folder of your ColdFusion installed location.

The Public Beta version of ColdFusion 10 and ColdFusion Builder 2.0.1 has hit the Adobe Labs few days back and there were good number of blog posts published to demonstrate the features of this release. I have been watching the Jelastic Cloud for almost a month and finally I gave it a try last week. The team behind Jelastic did all the ground works for us to get up and Running with Railo in their environment. I have configured Railo and created a sample job search application railoweb.akbarsait.com and hosted it in their Cloud in just 10 minutes time.

There are many ways out there to automate the backup process of SQL Databases. I have been using some of them over the time and was found something missing in it on the functionality side. Quite recently I started using the MySQL Backup FTP tool which is really handy and I would say it does the job perfectly on taking the databases backups.

CFDocs.org is one of the sites I use to visit often for ColdFusion tags and functions documentation. Like my Google Chrome extension for CFQuickDocs I thought of creating one for CFDocs site as well so I created this little Google Chrome extension for CFDocs.org.
